Seal Bay is located on the pretty Kangaroo Island in South Australia. To get there you will need to take a ferry from the mainland or fly to the small airport of Kingscote but you will need your own car to travel around the island.
Seal Bay is the name of the beach where is settled a colony of 800 sea lions and on this tour you’ll be taken to the beach to observe them and get told everything you need to know about them !
The logistics are pretty simple, you show up at the reception, you wait for your guide until your tour starts and off you go on a little walk towards the beach. The place is very pretty, the guides are very passionate, friendly and knowledgeable.
If you are interested in nature and animals this tour will surely be interesting to you, but the highlight is the proximity with the sea lions. You will be only a few meters from them and of course you’re not allowed to get too close or to interact with them but you will watch them chill, sunbathe, argue or play with each other without startling them at all.
The tour is well-timed, 45 minutes is enough to get a good look at the seals and get enough informations to feel smarter at the end of the day.
This is a solid, cute tour that I could recommend to all, adults like children. I give it a :
